Comment in question 10-03-2007 10:17 Muckraking Mother Manhattan Madona captures the heart, soul, angst and strength of the spirit of hope that is carried in the promise of life. The painting is a beautiful incorporation, of many complex facets of genocide that the academic research exposes as the painful reality bourne of the politics of suffering. It is fitting that she is a Ground Zero. It is the point of the earth that is the center for the Bonesmen, in view of the penthouses of 120 Broadway, Brown Brothers Harriman, The Federal Reserve and Chase. Ground Zero is where all that is admirable in the human spirit meets evil corruption and where the scar in the earth and on the souls, still stands gaping and open. The imagary captures the strength of the memory, fittingly centering, but not dominating the Madona. It inspires like an omen of the the future when the imagination of the nurturers defines what ultimately rises from the ashes, the power of life giving Madonas. Guest |
