IMO he should! Its a volunteer Army you don't get to pick and choose your assignments. There are men and women in harms way who are relying on their fellow volunteers to be there. 
 
It doesn't mean I agree with the war. I think everyone should get to come home, but this isn't a job stocking shelves at Kmart, you have to do it until your allowed to come home!
