Roaring Twenties Gangs
What about the Jewish gangs that sprung up in the US during Prohibition? Didn't they end up controlling the booze market just because of their fire-power. 
Myer Lansky and other Jewish gangsters created Los Vegas because of prohibition! I belive women were allowed to vote just so prohibition could be enabled and the rest is history.
