Apocalypse

People talk of the apocalypse, rapture and the return of Jesus. Unspeakable persecution horrific wars, and the damnation of the unrighteous. What kind of God would tolerate such abomination. 
What kind of God would encourage people to slaughter men, women children, infants and animals in his name. 
This is a god built from humanities dark side, the bible is a cut and paste compilation. 
No wonder the Christian fundamentalist are such morbid supporters of war against those they consider evil, look at the history of mother church, it\'s a horror story and and still is. 
Consider this, if God created all there is, with a thought, then why does he want people to do his dirty work.
