Comment in question 20-07-2007 13:43 Zero tolerance for genocide, war, rape, The International Community (like any other other community) has LAWS prohibiting EVILS such as genocide, war, rape, paedocide, racism, child abuse, murder, mass murder etc. Those who variously and KNOWINGLY excuse, deny, ignore, minimize, obfuscate, support, advocate or are otherwise COMPLICIT in such EVILS at an International or National level have parted company with decent, law-abiding humanity. Stated more succinctly, there must be ZERO TOLERANCE for EVILS such as genocide, war, rape, paedocide, racism, child abuse etc - peaceful but resolute opposition to such EVILS can never be "overplayed" (see relevant articles on MWC News via the link below). Here is what the International Community has AGREED is Genocide and what should happen to those complicit in Genocide, specifically the UN Genocide Convention (Google these words for a URL link): Article I. The Contracting Parties confirm that genocide, whether committed in time of peace or in time of war, is a crime under international law which they undertake to prevent and punish. Article II. In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: a) Killing members of the group; b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group. Article III. The following acts shall be punished: a) Genocide; b) Conspiracy to commit genocide; c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide; d) Attempt to commit genocide; e) Complicity in genocide. Article IV. Persons committing genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article III shall be punished, whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private individuals. It is quite clear that the US-, UK-, Australia, Denmark- and US Coalition-prosecuted War on Iraq (post-invasion excess deaths now 1.1 million, post-invasion under-5 infant deaths 0.5 million, 4 million refugees) amounts to an Iraqi Holocaust and an Iraqi Genocide as defined above. If your political representative, favourite newspaper, TV or radio station, hitherto preferred service or sales businesses or business, play or sexual partners support the child-killing, anti-Arab anti-Semitic, Bush-ite Iraqi Genocide, then it would not be "overplayed" to simply tell them "I don't do Nazis".
