Appalling crimes of Mugabe
Donovan, I agree with your condemnation of the Mugabe regime.

As I say in the article, QUOTE: "The Zimbabwe Mugabe régime has an appalling human rights-violating record - but then so does the militant, extreme right wing, racist, warmongering, child-abusing, Bush-Australian Coalition Government which is complicit in the avoidable death of about 1 infant every minute in the Occupied Iraqi and Afghan Territories."

And I AGREE that the wealth differential in Zimbabwe between Mugable officials and the starving population is horrendous.

However the issue raised in the article is one of unfairness and threat by the racist, authoritarian, Bush-ite Coalition Australian Government to international students studying in Australian universities and indeed to ALL visa holders within Australia (with Dr Mohammed Haneef being a recent case in point cited in the article).

If the Australian Government wants to place a ban on the children of Mugabe officials studying in Australia (a VERY REASONABLE course of action consonant with the Sanctions and Boycotts successfully applied to Apartheid South Africa) ) then the time to do so is BEFORE they have commenced their studies - doing so AFTER they have commenced their studies is unjust and threatens ALL work, tourist, residence and student visa holders with unfair visa termination, arrest, imprisonment and deportation by a racist and authoritarian Bush-ite Australian Government.
