surferperson...I like your name. It reminds me of the ocean. No, it can not get much worse for those without money. The usa is in a state of decay in all systems, education, care of the very young and the elderly, the environment and infrastructure. I think Mike is right. The complacency is killing us. It is NOT the politicians and the government - it is the complacency of the masses. Who would have ever thought that the usa would slaughter millions, as in Iraq, and there would be no outcry. Who would have thought that we would become a nation that tortures. Unbelievable! History will say that this Empire yawned its way into oblivion.
