Complacency? Dare I say that I think it is greed. With a volunteer military we can play dumb as to what they are doing over there in that quagmire run by people who just don't know what they are doing. Sorry I think they do know exactly what they are doing so they also can wash their hands and claim innocense. In their caos induced state, (state of Iraq and Afghanistan), the caos and internal conflict, (I think they created on purpose for the results it creates, internal killing of themselfs, iraqis contributing to their own genocide.) This same caos gives paus to a withdrawal enabling the same desired policies to have the same desired removal effects of the resistant population. This leaves much less blood on the occupiers hands, should they be brought to trial. The US public mostly baby boomers, spoiled complainers turn their heads hoping that which they wish not to approve of, will end quickly and victoriously at the hands of their corupt leaders, thus saving their 401Ks and retirement. While hardly a majority many times I have heard it stated that I am to old for a revolution and the younger generation will have to do it. Even the chinese products scandal, the quality of which, is not news. Whats news to me is the sudden one or two cases turned into a news worthy item on our marriage with a communist state and its products. I think the real issue is pressure for cooperation in the UN for further sanctions on Iran, that china has not always gone toe and heal along with. Just my hunch can't prove it. It will hurt but if US capitalism has been living a lie at the expense of the lives of under the table wars and coops (Chile, Argentina) and deaths it may have to follow the path of those who before, fell and had to begin anew. Ex. USSR, Argentina. With the corruption and continued assualts on our state can it be saved. At that point when ones back is finally against the wall, all having been said, then what will I do.
