Very Nice
Great article, Don.

Bush and Co. are some evil, shape-shifting war criminals. The comparisons you made are practically irrefutable, except for those who live in bomb-bomb bizarro world.

And on the subject of Cambodia, I'd like to share some items. One is a relatively recent study touching on — among other things — the fact that the bombing of Cambodia began under LBJ.

The maps showing the areas bombed in high concentrations are simply jaw-dropping, and much like the BS coming out of Bush's piehole (but for different reasons), the stats are absolutely inconceivable:

Quote:
"[F]rom October 4, 1965, to August 15, 1973, the United States dropped far more ordnance on Cambodia than was previously believed: 2,756,941 tons’ worth, dropped in 230,516 sorties on 113,716 sites."

And then there's the piece by Edward S. Herman on the subject of Pol Pot and the United States' culpability in the genocide, with special focus on mainstream media whitewashing and the role of war criminal/fink for Israel, Henry Kissinger. It accurately labels the US carpet-bombing as "phase 1," and the Pol Pot atrocities as "phase 2".

These subjects have been too easily swept under the rug, and for way too long. Thank you for putting some focus on them, especially in the context of a greatly needed and appreciated upbraiding of a lying, scheming war criminal.
