Lies

The US won't be leaving. Why would an Imperialist nation give up newly acquired territory. The US does not make a habit of leaving, they are still in Europe after over 60 years. For instance what are they doing in the U.K., ensuring the Brits have democracy?  
I have always been puzzled as to why any body believed all that pre-Iraq invasion rubbish, it was so transparent. Colin Powell with all that umbala (BS) at the United Nations, and most of the people at the assembly just sat there and took it. 
For so much silence, there and elsewhere, for so many transparent lies, is mind numbing. 
Does the US have the whole world by the short and curlies?
