You seem like a pretty o.k. bloke. 
I reckon you would settle in here right enough, mind you I wouldn't get too friendly with roos, as the big old buggers can be pretty dangerous, bit like are mutual polies, we've had to put up with a pro Bush, drongo over the last few years. 
It is true most of us live near the ocean, the inland is not too flash, some love it, horses for courses I suppose . 
I came to Australia with just enough dough to buy a cheep second hand car, a bit of rust bucket, got a job in two weeks. Truth is Australia has been very good to me and I love it. We have had to endure a very cynical government for the last 11 years, 
for all intents the Australian branch of the US Republican Party; so you see mate HE'S already here,Lord help us all. 
Oh yes Stevo! If you moved here you would have to get your head around the mighty game of cricket, (he says with a lump in his throat). 
I really hope the US can find a way to lead us all out of the dark place it has taken itself and the rest of the world. 
It's up to us all digger, to start to shout.
