Comment in question 12-10-2007 13:17 Hicks solitary was torture Extensive solitary confinement, routinely used by the Bush Administration and its criminal collaborators around the world is a form of torture. Australian David Hicks was subject to extensive solitary confinement during his over 5 years (FIVE YEARS) of incarceration at Guantanamo Bay - he was eventually released (after big pressure from ordinary Australians) by the device of a "plea bargain" to permit him to serve a year in an "ordinary" prison in South Australia. According to the cowardly, war criminal, torture-complicit Bush-ite Australian Government Hicks broke NO Australian laws. The Bush Administration has violated international law by illegal, abusive imprisonment and torture and by charging Hicks with RETROSPECTIVE offences (a war crime in itself). Guest |
