Comment in question 23-10-2007 15:26 Op-Ed on Michael Mukasey Having an AG yielding a 90-95 percent level of \"torture acceptability\" from that of Alberto Gonzales, his predecessor, should be no consolation. He is not only a Bushie, who has made clear his position clear all along for the need to supplement the current laws/statutes to deal with \"islamic terrorism\" but just like his Yalie friend, Lieberman, there is a commonality of interests in these guys that do not serve Justice well, nor our foreign policy needs. But heck, even Schumer, a Democrat, gave Bush his name (Mukasey) as a possible nominee for the Supreme Court back in 2003! Unfortunately, Prof. Cohn, our target in 1973 was justice... and that\'s no longer the case. Excellent article and exposure of details, as usual! Guest |
