ART can SPARK change for GOOD

Thank you very much for your comments Bob. I was very moved by your superb, MUST SEE anti-war movie \"Kindertotenlied\" (see: Kindertotenlied review and just immerse myself in Gustav Mahler (\"Deep Mind\" is quite \"big picture\" Mahler-esque in grand conception). 
 
I agree that images, poetry, music, and theatre can be vastly more effective than mere words and statistics - see my review of the great, MUST SEE photo-essay book \"My Brother\'s Keeper\" that explores the work of 24 humanitarian photographers who have variously chnaged the world for the better: review: My Brother\'s Keeper. 
 
That said, nevertheless the statistics MUST ALSO be garnered and remorselessly presented to an unresponsive world. Rational Risk Management involves successively (1) getting the data (2) scientific analysis and THEN (3) sensible systemic change to minimize risk.  
 
HOWEVER to actually get INITIATION of the Rational Risk Management process (e.g. lying, racist Mainstream media ignore 8 million Bush Asian Holocaust excess deaths i.e. IGNORE step #1) or IMPLEMENTATION of sensible systemic change (e.g. no more war in reality) requires a SPARK - and Art, Poetry, Music, Theatre, Images can provide that SPARK. 
 
In Chemistry and Physics that SPARK is called an Activation Energy Barrier i.e. a chemical reaction such the oxidation of a sheet of cellulosic paper to carbon dioxide and water is a downhill, exergonic (free energy-liberating) process BUT it will not happen quickly unless you provide a tiny SPARK (otherwise it may take thousands of years to brown and finally completely oxidize).  
 
A similar example - you have the money to buy something in the shop window but to ACTUALLY DO IT you first need to overcome the Activation Energy Barrier to cross the threshhold and make the purchase. 
 
ART can provide the SPARK for sensible humane ACTION.
