Chimps largely lack Memes

Mike - Chimps, like us, are hard-wired by DNA-constructed Genes for intra-tribal altruism and ferocious inter-tribal aggression. However humans through pictures, words, writing etc are vastly better placed to overcome such hard-wired behaviours and accept non-genetically, socially- transmitted (Memetically transmitted) Memes (socially selected ideas) such as generally altruistic notions e.g. "love thy neighbour" and "all men are created equal" (see post #1).
