Cossiga was ironic

Cossiga is renowned for his strange sense of humour and the prison planet "translation" was not very accurate. Cossiga was making fun of the Italian left tendency to blame the CIA and Mossad for everything... but after the horrors of Gladio, who can blame them. He has affirmed in many other interviews that he doesn't seriously believe that 9/11 was the results of a conspiracy.  
 
But like usual, this statement out of context has been "thruterized"...
