Flabbergasted
I am flabbergasted. Are you saying first of all that it snowed like this in the area you defined 54 years previously? Now the thing that really spins me out is the parallels between which the snow fell.
I live just south of Perth
in Western Australia 32'S, it is inconceivable to have snow, the Swan River freezing, not this side of the next ice age.
30' to 25'(S) you are getting into hot country, maybe a touch of frost inland mid winter, summer time mid 40's C. One could bet ones life to the fact that it would never snow between 30--25, if one was as fit as your good Dean appears to be, one could live to a 110 at least on that bet.
This article has got me scratching my head.
