Don't vote - it only supports a corrupt

You make an important point. I too shudder every time I hear that it doesn't matter who you vote for, but it is important to vote. I have always believed that NO ONE SHOULD VOTE unless he has studied ALL of the issues - not only the economic ones. An uninformed vote might cancel the vote of someone who is informed. Selecting the president by holding a national lottery would result in a more fair system. We might then even get a president who understands the plight of the common man. It would be an improvement to have a farmer, plumber, or factory worker as president. 
 
A benevolent monarchy would even be better than the current system, which is rigged to give an advantage to the wealthy.
