Blind!

What a good article. 
Blind patriotism,sends a cold chill down my spine. It seems to be driven by the same energy that drives religious fundamentalism, and the higher purpose attitude of the horrific medieval church, actually I think the USA is closer to the latter. Maybe this is an archetypal thing, (humanity, most of it at least), appears to be hard wired that way. Thus the masses are manipulated by a brutal few. 
If one considers Iraq, and one hears statements within the US, like, \"these brave young soldiers have given their lives in the ultimate sacrifice for their country\". 
The sad truth is, these men were sacrificed, by their country. But the population does not want to consider this.
