This open letter was written by someone who has no concept of what liberty is and places no value on it. The author also fails to understand that Chavez is squandering his country's resources, making use of seized assets that will soon run out. 
 
Nationalizing anything that moves allows Chavez to be very very generous in the short term but the process kills the golden goose. All the industries and resources that have been nationalized will grind to a halt due to the incompetence and apathy that always results when central planning and "equality" takes precedence over ambition and skill. Venezuela has lost massive amounts of international investment and expertise. Chavez is using a propaganda smokescreen and liquidating existing assets to create the illusion of something approaching prosperity but soon those assets will run out and VENEZUELA WILL COLLAPSE. 
 
I considered the possibility that this letter was a joke it was so willfully blind to the tyrannical behavior of Chavez. But I think it is serious. I wish I could honestly say I was surprised that people fall for cons like this.
