Comment in question 28-07-2008 12:35 3 top institutions show WARMING Readers of this thread - I repeat you are well advised to listen to top climate scientists such as Dr Hansen and his colleagues at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) RATHER THAN uncredentialled , anonymous, false, abusive and defamatory climate sceptic bloggers who - for whatever reasons or motives - are dedicated to promoting dangerous greenhouse gas pollution of Humanity's COMMON Atmosphere and Ocean. Unsubstantiated defamation of one of America's and the World's top climate scientists and a whole institution of top world climate scientists (NASA's GISS) does not constitute a reasonable argument against global warming. Here is a summary with links of global temperature estimates from 3 major institutions providing such long-term data – they are all evidently in agreement. 1. Hadley Centre (UK) data (see: Hadley Centre, UK ) - global temperature increased about 0.5C over last 40 years. 2. NASA GISS, New York, US data (see: NASA GISS, Head Dr James Hansen ) - global temperature increased about 0.5C over last 40 years. 3. University of Alabama, Huntsville, US (see: U of Alabama, Huntsville, US ) – “Global trend since Nov. 16, 1978: +0.13 C per decade i.e. 4 x 0.13 = 0.52C over 30 years i.e. global temperature increased about 0.5C over last 30 years.
