A correction – the correct full title of Tariq Ali\'s recent book is \"Street Fighting Years. An Autobiography of the Sixties\" (Verso, London, 2005).  
 
In addition, the avoidable deaths in British India 1757-1947 totalled about 1.5 billion if one excludes the so-called Native States.
