Comment in question 06-01-2009 12:35 How are we going to tell this to the she The thing that Americans haven\'t realised is that this is all about New World Order; not NWO as people who have been discussing PNAC have been talking about but the end of nation states replaced by global corporate empires. The case example has already been established in with Great Britain. The American financial elite of the 1930s, the ones who compounded their wealth in the great depression, financed both sides of WW2 and allowed the old European powers to destroy each other. The end result, the end of the British empire, required an adjustment on the part of the old, established wealth of both Britain and Europe. In the case of Britain, what this amounted to was that these people shifted the bulk of their wealth to the US. They still retained the appearances of the old social order of Britain in as near a pre-war condition as possible, encouraging Britons to wave the Union Jack, revere The Royals and sing \"Rule Britannia\" at the Proms but the ruling elites were no longer \"Brits\". They had their grand estates in the best parts of Britain, complete with butlers, servants gardeners etc who maintained all in order in their absence, but the master visits only for a month or two each year in June or August. For the rest of the year they blended with the international jet-set. Today, the people who own western capitalism have made similar deals with India, Russia and China. They run global corporations that exploit the planet\'s population in a globally run system. Political \"leaders\" of the old nation states are just farm managers who know their place and that their job is to keep up the pretence of \"freedom\" and \"democracy\", sustain the illusions of nationalism with its attendant patriotism and the old world myths of moral legitimacy of the world order. Governments run countries now like the hordes of butlers, housekeepers and gardeners who maintain the estates of the old British elites. The masters of this globalised corporate world order run the world through the instrument of their CEOs, their boards of directors and the rest of the tired, deluded swimming fish who, by the time they have swum through the pile and broken the surface to attain \"welcome to the club\" status and discover the reality of the world order they have blindly given their lives to they are too old and burnt out to care. Meanwhile, the wealthy elites who own and control all of this are out playing \"the world is my playground\" in their private jets. They have apartments in New York, mansions in Monaco, beach-side mansions in Australia etc. and their underlings run the world in their interests and according to their instructions. In this scenario the USA is important for its wealthy elites, not in a sense of nationalistic pride and patriotism, as it is for the blind rabble, but as a functional building block in the world order - foundation of military power and a few functional elements of the capitalist process and perhaps also as a place of nostalgia, a ranch or two, as with the old British elites\' fondness for their country states in \"green mother England\". The American people are maintained in an illusion that they matter more than a fig in all of this. Registered |
