Think. Why would Israel use DU in Gaza? Hamas does not have a single tank, so why would you fire a tank round that is only good against another tank? It is a very good propaganda button; the anti-DU crusade is closely allied to the Palestinian cause. Mads Gilbert is first and foremost a Palestinian spokesman, not a Norwegian humanitarian. If he were a Norwegian humanitarian, he would be completely consumed with being a doctor saving lives, not courting TV and press crews to lie about depleted uranium. You should also learn just exactly what is an illegal weapon and who makes that determination? I have some sources for you; they are in the links at Message 88 in DUStory - if you follow the one to UNEP DU Publications, you will find a link to Lebanon and the extensive report of UNEP Post Conflict Branch scientists who tested 32 sites for DU and found no processed uranium. Now, the same unfounded claim is being made in Gaza by Mads Gilbert; maybe he should read the UNEP report and learn just how far over the line he is.
