Absurd, utterly foolish

I wholly disagree with the author of this article. The speculative "explanations" and rambling “analyses” are so absurd and foolish that I wonder at the author's motives because the very act of giving this whole disgusting episode any dignity by association with anything that might be called reason or strategy is outrageous. Nothing ameliorates or dignifies actions that are monstrously ruthless and sinister. 
 
All that has happened in this ugly episode of Gaza is that morality is obsolete as a concept in western civilisation. Our societies are lead by ruthless, corrupt and morally bankrupt individuals whose acts of indecency and depravity are cheered on by a brain-dead rump of population that has completely lost the capacity for reason of any sort, let alone moral reason. 
 
The complicity by silence, indifference or active collaboration in the making of excuses for this morally bankrupt act of savagery is endemic at all levels and in every walk of life. 
It is utterly disgusting!
