Comment in question 07-05-2009 07:36 Holdren Knows More Than the IPCC John Holdren is quoted as saying that the IPCC assessments fall short of the mark in estimating the rate of growth of emissions. If this quote is accurate, then what is Holdren saying about the competency of IPCC scientists (the "original" consensus). If these scientists' emissions estimates, in 2009, are already off the mark since the 2007 Fourth Assessment Report, why should anyone attach any credibility to IPCC climate projections out into the distant future? Estimating emissions should be much easier than estimating the climate in a 100 years. Perhaps Holdren has an agenda, and he needs to use alarmist speeches to sell it. Guest |
