Science improves models
Poster #2 has missed the fundamental point of scientific methodology: science is about the critical testing of potentially falsifiable hypotheses. Scientists EXPECT models and predictions to be supplanted by better models and predictions as more and better data become available.

Poster #2 also misses the point that the predictions of the 2007 IPCC Fourth Assessment Report (scientific literature cut-off date about 2005) UNDER-estimated worsening climatic disruption due to man-made climate change (in short it had conservatively assumed a linear model for the worsening situation whereas positive feedback mechanisms have made for a non-linear, accelerating disruption, most notably in the Arctic sea ice melting that is NOW predicted to be complete in 6 years\' time rather than in 100 years\' time as predicted by the IPCC).

Professor John Holdren does not have an evident \"agenda\" other than warning the world about what he calls \"climatic disruption\" and he is not being \"alarmist\" - he is simply reporting the growing catalogue of very serious, AGW-driven climatic disruptions that have ALREADY OCCURRED as summarized in my article.
