Truth
\"Again our choice: Either open up the decay within the system to the light of day and start the process of rebuilding and renewal, or allow the republic-ravening pestilence to continue unchallenged...\"

I am not optimistic concerning the American people’s willingness or ability to face the hard facts of our present reality—its origins and the consequences. The last great inletting of light into the dark processes under which we are governed: Watergate, resulted in only a sham revelation and no real reform. Is there any crime without a punishment or at least an accounting? Even our hopes for a reformed type of journalism have been dashed. We learned nothing from Nixon, Watergate and Vietnam and we will learn nothing from Bush, The Torture Memos and Iraq. I’m afraid the second choice, that of allowing the unimpeded pestilence to continue, will be the only option. Take heart though. Though all the pain and suffering—as always, born by the children, the poor and the disabled—will seem unending, it will end. It will end with the collapse of Capitalism. I have been witness in my life to the fall of the two dominant political systems of the 20th Century, Communism and now Capitalism. There will be a different system that will emerge, partially out of sheer necessity and partially out of the dream of men and women like you and I who understand how a society based on cooperation not competition is possible. I will not see that day come to pass, but until I die, I will continue to not only tell the truth of our present horror without fear but I will loudly proclaim my plan for a better, more livable way of life for the whole ecosphere.

Keep telling the truth!

Peace,
