Though I wish President Obama had taken the time to visit Gaza and see the conditions there firsthand, I too was cautiously optimistic about his change of direction, however incrementally, from the criminal BushCo thugs. I also agree with you that a more hard-line approach with Israel would be appropriate in order to get them to stop their barbarism. Even with his tentative steps, he has put his safety at risk as Israel often sends “messages” through violence so that others fear taking similar courageous action.
