5.2 million dead Irish Holocaust

Chris Fogarty, Thank you very much for telling us about your analysis of the Irish Holocaust (1845-1851) in which 5.2 million Irish were deliberately starved to death by the British in violently British-occupied Ireland (for the related English atrocities in Scotland at the time see John Prebble's book - Prebble, J. (1963), The Highland Clearances (Secker & Warburg, London).  
 
Those history books that actually DO mention the "Irish Famine" estimate 1.5 million Irish deaths from starvation and 1.0 million exiled (with huge attendant circa 50% loss of life in the first American winters for the half-starved refugees).  
 
The standard State-decreed English history text book I had in my final year at an Irish Catholic high school in Tasmania was written by G.M. Trevelyan O.M. (Master of Trinity College and Regius Professor of Modern History , University of Cambridge and the grandson of the same Charles Treveleyan who supervised the mass murder of the Irish) - Trevelyan, G.M. (1952), History of England (Longmans, London, 1960).  
 
This standard English history ignores the Irish Famine and indeed only adverts (pp644-645) to a POTENTIAL calamity of "tens of thousands" of Irish deaths AVOIDED through the abolition of the Corn Laws by PM Robert Peel!  
 
I will do my bit to ensure that Chris Fogarty's analysis is widely disseminated around the world - it is high time people around the world wised up to egregious Anglo-American holocaust commission and holocaust denial that has been going on for centuries.  
 
I recommend that ALL Librarians adopt a "holocaust denial" register and have an official yellow decal to be attached to ANY book ignoring (far, far worse than denying) ANY holocaust - whether the Irish Holocaust (5.2 million killed), the Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million dead), the WW2 Holocaust in general (30 million Slavs, Jews and Gypsies killed by the Nazis, 35 Million Chinese killed by the Japanese, 6-7 million Indians murdered by the British), the Palestinian Genocide (0.3 million post-invasion excess deaths), the Iraqi Holocaust, Iraqi Genocide (4.2 million excess deaths 1990-2009) , the Afghan Holocaust, Afghan Genocide (3-7 million post-invasion excess deaths)... the looming, worsening Climate Genocide in which 10 billion non-Europeans are likely to perish this century due to unaddressed, largely First World-made global warming (see: G8 Failure Means Climate Genocide
