2012.11.26 03:37:09

Darren Wolfe talks about peace, liberty, gun rights, and security from the point of view of arming the people to protect themselves while disarming the government. The talk was based on his opening statement at the Greater Philadelphia Thinking Society (http://www.meetup.com/thinkingsociety/events/88133332/) sponsored gun control debate where he took the pro-gun side.

Hiroshima Day Protest 2011 King of Prussia, PA (video)
2011.08.07 20:33:34

The Brandywine Peace Community strikes again, this time protesting against Lockheed Martin building parts for nuclear missiles on the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan during World War II. The protest went well with speeches, music, and the use of crime scene tape to block the entrance. The civil disobedience squad was arrested trying to deliver documents to Lockheed Martin.

Responsibility, Accountability and 'The Slippery Slope'
2011.06.30 10:41:32

Why we are seeing this nation sabotage itself in almost every way possible... economically, politically and morally? Perhaps the simple truth is that the idea of responsibility has become something that people in this country don’t want to talk about.

Focus on Peace: A Peace Movement for Everyone
2011.03.07 04:35:34

Like most libertarians I want to advocate for peace. I’ve worked with the left’s peace movement and have been frustrated by the fact that they insist on attaching their social and economic agendas to their activism. They then strangely say they have an "inclusive" peace movement. An excerpt from "An Inclusive Antiwar Movement?" illustrates this point well:

Why They Torture (video)
2011.01.31 02:27:03

Last Saturday the weekly demonstrations for and against the wars in West Chester, PA were joined by some special visitors. One was an activist I only know as Barbara advocating the closure of the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp in Cuba. This is a US military facility that has been the subject of much controversy. Terror suspects are kept there and many are tortured.

Martin Luther King and the Empowerment of the War Machine: A Libertarian’s View (video)
2011.01.19 05:59:01
On Martin Luther King Day I had the pleasure of joining the "Make War No More" protest at the defense contractor Lockheed Martin's property in King of Prussia, PA. It is the largest arms manufacturer in the world which is the reason it has been the object of these protests for so many years. The people that were arrested in an act of civil disobedience there have earned our respect. See video:

Viewing It The Pakistani Way on 'Doing More'
2010.12.19 18:49:14

JPG

The latest WikiLeaks exposures conclude that Pakistan has been under constant US influence and pressure to intensify the fight against terrorism, flourishing swiftly inside its borders.US President Barack Obama has praised the Pakistani leadership for the increased cooperation still the results are 'uneven' and 'unsubstantial' says a latest assessment report of the new Af-Pak strategy imposed last year. Pakistan on the other hand has been persistently complaining about the unsatisfactory world response towards its tremendous sacrifices in the war against terror.  Hasan Zafar, a defence analyst quotes, "This war is costing too much. We paid heavy price for it. Our economy is devastated and we are still losing lives, still we are being dictated to 'do more' ".

An Inclusive Antiwar Movement?
2010.11.05 19:00:29

The International Action Center (IAC) is having a conference this Saturday, November 6, 2010. Named the "Regional ANTIWAR Conference and a National meeting to STOP FBI Repression", they’re hailing it as "…a discussion of a new kind of unified & inclusive antiwar movement that can challenge the wars abroad and at home".

Supporting The Troops Or Supporting Israel?
2010.10.24 22:42:39

What looked like it would be just another Saturday protesting the war in West Chester, PA turned up something different this time. The alleged American patriots, who are always across the street from our peace vigil, had another country's flag with them, namely Israel's:

Raising Eyebrows at a Peace Rally
2010.10.22 02:47:04

"Why are you wearing that flag here?", a confused young man asked about my choice of capes last Saturday at the peace rally in Philadelphia. Since the crowd was basically left, lefter, and far left they seemed only to associate the Gadsden flag with neocon TEA Partiers. So why was this antiwar libertarian wearing it?

The Gadsden flag represents the will to resist tyranny. "Don’t Tread on Me" is about standing up for human rights, not going around the world trampling them. When the Founders raised that flag they did it fighting the mightiest empire of their era. Today, we raise it resisting the American empire, the mightiest in all history. Those who would raise the Gadsden flag while advocating aggressive wars overseas dishonor the memory of the Founders. It’s past time for freedom lovers to reclaim this symbol of liberty!

The fact that the Gadsden flag is mostly in the colors of Agorism, yellow and black, only adds to its the appeal.

Unity at a Peace Rally

Just like the September 11th of nine years ago this year’s was also a perfect late Summer day in West Chester, Pennsylvania. On this sad anniversary of the horrible terrorist attacks I had the pleasure of joining the weekly peace vigil held by United for Peace & Justice.

Oh, Come, All Ye Hateful
2010.06.11 19:22:49

There is an increasingly vocal and aggressive direction being taken by some Christians. That many American Christians supported the Bush administration and its wars is well known. At present the level of dehumanization of Muslims and outright advocacy of genocide is becoming much louder.
