Extremism and Suffering Children
Society + Culture
By MWC News

What does a shootout at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., the confessions of a Khmer Rouge jailer and the murder of a Kansas medical doctor have in common? The answer is "children," and how they suffer from being targeted and used by extremists to advance their own hateful agendas.

Stealing Iran Elections
Society + Culture
By MWC News

My great sorrow goes to the people of Iran, who deserve much better. When the war criminals in this country stole an election, it resulted in the horrible war on Iraq, the end of the rule of law that made torture a policy of this formerly decent country, and worldwide disaster economically.

Society + Culture
By Robert Jensen

Apartheid is dead in South Africa, but a new version of white supremacy lives on.

“During apartheid the racism of white people was up front, and we knew what we were dealing with. Now white people smile at us, but for most black people the unemployment and grinding poverty and dehumanizing conditions of everyday life haven’t changed,” a black South African told me. “So, what kind of commitment to justice is under that smile?”
