DP World, a state-owned business based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), bought out London-based Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co. which runs major commercial operations in New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia

SCIENCE FICTIONS FANS are familiar with the Terrans who inhabit the one-moon planet Terra that orbits the medium-sized sun called Sol. A frequent theme is threat to Terra and Terrans from evil extra-terrestrial aliens as initiated by “War of the Worlds” by H.G. Wells and thence re-jigged in the famous, panic-inducing  Orson Welles radio broadcast, Byron Haskin’s film “The War of the Worlds” and Steven Spielberg’s recent movie “War of the Worlds” ..

Ski Bummers & Snow Angels

All the streets around Raymond. J. Fisher Middle School were deserted when home schooler Marcello and I went for a walk today around High Noon. We both did double takes ‘cause it’s usually bubbling over with noise there at that time, and the kids were all off the day before…for Prez Day.
