Can a person be a good businessman but a lousy economist? Yes. Take T. Boone Pickens, for example. He’s all over television touting his plan for wind power as a substitute for foreign oil, a plan that calls for massive government subsidies. This should immediately make us suspicious. If wind is so good, why does it need subsidies? Comments (5) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 682

I’m guessing it was excessive exposure to either radiation or George Bush, but Senator John McCain’s comments from inside a nuclear power plant in Michigan are so cracked-brained that I fear some loose gamma rays are doing to McCain’s gray matter what they did to Homer Simpson’s.

World War Two certainly did not end with a whimper, but with a bang. Two very large bangs -- three if you count the Trinity test blast (and you should). The war drums have continued banging ever since. Be first to comment this article | Quote this article on your site | Views: 406

Consider the following questions: "Who is responsible for the deaths of more than 4000 US military and countless innocent Iraqis? Is every war crime worthy of Indictment or should some be given a free pass? Should the accused face justice in an open Court which will send a message to the world and, more importantly, to future US Administrations?" The sky was Bible black and ringing with thunder last night above Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church on Kingston Pike in Knoxville. You know it as the building where Jim D. Adkisson carried a shotgun inside a guitar case Sunday morning and shot nine people during a children’s performance of the musical “Annie.” None of the children were shot, but two adults later died. To vote, or not to vote, that is the question. Many have already decided to sit this election out. Some came to that decision for philosophical reasons. Some will no longer vote for the 'lesser of the evils', but not all of the candidates are evil. The list of Presidential candidates includes some good ones and some others. There is a variety to chose from. A partial list- Barr, McCain, McKinney, Moore, Nader, and Obama. Be first to comment this article | Quote this article on your site | Views: 692
