This is why we hate the America
By Abdulrahman Hezam Punjab, India

ImageI write this letter in response to Mr. Pete M.'s letter entitled "Why do Arabs hate the USA?" First, I would like to express my happiness that at least some Americans are asking this question because the answer they will find will make them question their government' actions before they put the blame on us. Any one who objectively observes the US policies and the way Arabs are portrayed in American media, Hollywood movies, and literature even before the 9/11 will ask "why Americans dislike the Arabs?" The blind support of America to Israel is another evidence of this hate. We are not asking for supporting us against Israel but to do justice to the suffering Palestinian people, they should not be so biased to Israel.

The way your administration views the Israeli-Arab conflict makes us feel that you do not consider us human beings with feelings like you. How do you want us to react to the crimes committed by Israel with American approval and weapons and then protect Israel from the simplest condemnation using US Veto? How will you react if the Russians invaded California simply because the Russian President does not like Arnold, the new governor? Sometimes I feel pity for the ordinary Americans because they are manipulated by their politicians and they seem very busy to critically examine everything that is said in their media. You rightly say that the Iraqis were not given the truth by the last regime and that we in this part of the world have no access to the truth but now we know what is going in Iraq better than you do. You have no access to what is really going on here in the Middle East and the feeling here is that you are ruled by the Zionists who have the upper hand in your foreign policy.

We want to reach to you to make you listen to our complaints, to make you understand that we are human of flesh and blood just like you. Do not believe your administration when it says that this war against so-called terrorism is between civilized and uncivilized, or between good and evil. It is this kind of rhetoric expressions used by your administration and Osama bin Laden that is creating this gap between us. How can we believe that this administration is spreading democracy in the region while it has double-standards in dealing with Palestinians and Israelis? Does your democracy tell you that killing the Palestinians is an act of self-defense while killing Israelis is terrorism? I do not support killing civilians but we must apply this to all parties equally.

In conclusion, let me tell you that solving the Palestinian issue in a just way will be a victory against terrorism more than killing the innocent Iraqis who are facing invaders thirsty for their oil. Sending international peacekeepers to the West bank and Gaza will be a great act that would save lives of both sides and will be much better than asking for troops to help the oil companies of Cheney and Rumsfeld secure huge contracts and greater wealth. You have to review your attitude towards us and answer the question on why you dislike us before you asking why we hate the USA.

I dont blame the arabs for hating us. Id hate anyone who was always putting their noses where they dont belong, from the dumbarse creation of a Jewish state inside an arab region, to invading and occupying a country that had nothing to do with 911.

I call this nothing more then Voo-Doo Psychology - and you know it.

I have over the years visisted most of the countries in the near, middle and far east. Your problems are not due to the USA, even if we was to give you our country you would still have the same problems, you bring them upon your self by the propaganda & the education or lack of in most cases, you dont allow outside TV Etc. so too many of your people believe what you have told them. (we have too many of them here in America as well, spoon fed and led).

All of the other countries around the world do not support Israel as the USA does, so why have you caused them harm? Your belief is that God gave to you the entire world, and you want it any way that you can get it. Ask your self what kind of a God would want you to kill destroy every one every thing on earth so you can have it all? MAYBE SOME ONE HAS SOLD YOU THE SAME STORY THAT YOU ARE NOW PEDDLING. Wake up - GOD gave to the Jews as their homeland-Israel- and they are not going any place. And neither are WE.

The Palistine people need to block all Israel border points and turn themselves inward to live in peace, and rebuild their country.

RE=ksec
ksec this may surprise you, but Israel was there first - no one today put Israel in an Arab country. Palestine people of today has never had a country of their own.

Biblical times - God told Moses to lead his people (Jews) out of Egypt in to their land of Milk & honey. (that he-God was giving to them) which included far more then what they have today.

Before you allow your self to be led - know where you are going and why.

missing links
Northpole is, indeed, frozen and covered up with ice; for the Promised Land was only a swathe of geography in a larger parcel of land known as of old as Palestine.
To think that the US citizenry gets outside news is laughable. Unless people read foreign newspapers on the Internet or get them delivered to their homes or read alternative news sites, they only get gov't propaganda not too terribly different from any dictator's feedings.
If one even cursorily reads the Bible and the Quran, one sees the same patriarchs, the same historical figures, the same Prophet who declared all before him null and void. All prophets do. Everywhere.
The letter that began these comments did not blame the US for all that is wrong in their country/countries, as one commenter seems bent on maintaining--and then holding, via implication, that there is nothing wrong with the US. The US is, indeed, responsible for the condition and thence the hatred (which is fairly recent) that is now the Middle East. Raising up the double standard in US foreign affairs is right on target; it is also part and parcel of how the US deals with its own citizens. ALL gov'ts in the world, in their dealings with others, do not look at people, they only see things, things to be used and discarded when not useful any more. It's part of the system. It's part of a very long history. It's a major drawback to the present inhumane system of gov't anywhere, of life anywhere (Personnel is no longer about people, it is about Human RESOURCES, i.e. things). Our world is not very humane. Our religions are fascistic: Mine is The Way; I am right and you are wrong so I get to kill you because you're not a person you're a minion of the Devil.
Any gov't that pushes aside or disenfranchises any of its people is a psychologically unbalanced state; that is, it is ill, insane. I agree heartily with Katherine Anne Porter: there is no such thing as a good gov't. However, people are not yet responsible enough or thoughtful enough to govern themselves. Partly because of the system, of their education. I refer you to the writings of Humberto Marriotti.

we don,t hate people
Thi,s just a comment to tell that people here in most of middle eastern states don,t hate Americal people , in the contrary they find them nice and social. It,s the external politics that they hate and it,s the double standard strategy of polititians that they hate , why should they hate peope they even didn,t meet with ?
A note: It,s not true that outside TV is not allowed here. The Arab sat and Nile sat are bringing automatically all western media including CNN and Fox and CBS and others to every house.
