Oz Ignores Aboriginal, Iraqi, Afghan & Climate Genocides

GENOCIDE IGNORING (Holocaust Ignoring) is far worse that the repugnant crime of Genocide Denial (Holocaust Denial) because it admits of no response, there being nothing actually said to respond to.

Denial of the Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million victims) has been criminalized in many Western European countries and indeed France and Belgium have extended this criminalization to include denial of the WW1 Armenian Genocide (1.5 million victims).

Now Germany has proposed that the EU should criminalize denial of ANY genocides. To overcome objections that this otherwise excellent proposal would constrain both free speech and scholarly research, I have proposed No-penalty Genocide Denial Criminalization (NGDC) in which the only punishment would be the public disgrace of judicial conviction for the crime of Genocide Denial (see MWC News ).

Genocide Ignoring and Genocide Denial are entrenched in White Australia. Cowardly, dishonest and racist Australian politicians, journalists, academics and public servants who are notoriously involved in Genocide Ignoring or Genocide Denial should be acutely concerned - if only for their own skins - because of the prospect of generalized criminalization of Genocide Denial in the EU (and hopefully thence world-wide).

White Australia has had an appalling history of involvement in genocide - the Aboriginal Genocide that reduced the Indigenous population from 1 million to 0.1 million in the first century of colonization; complicity in racist British colonialism (that was associated with excess deaths in India alone totalling 1.5 billion); the Stolen Generations (forced removal of 0.1 million Aboriginal Children from their Mothers in the 20th century); and involvement in all post-1950 US Asian wars (18 million excess deaths).

The major ON-GOING Genocides in which Australia is complicit include the Aboriginal Genocide (horrendous excess mortality with extinction adumbrated by a top medical expert); the Iraqi Genocide (1 million post-invasion excess deaths and 3.7 million refugees); the Afghan Genocide (2.2 million post-invasion excess deaths and 3.7 million refugees); and Climate Genocide (that acutely threatens extremely populous West Bengal and Bangladesh in particular).

I have apprised Australian Media and MPs (including members of the Coalition Government) (see my letter below). I look forward to EU trials of Australian Genocide Deniers.

Letter to Australian Media and MPs:

Dear Sir. Madam, Mr, Ms, Mrs, Dr, Senator X,

I am writing to Australian MPs and Media re Australian Genocide Denial and EU Genocide Denial Criminalization.

Germany (like many other Western European countries and Israel) has criminalized Holocaust Denial. France and Belgium, in addition, have now criminalized Denial of the Turkish Armenian Genocide that commenced on 24 April 1915 and killed 1.5 million Armenians. Now Germany proposes that the EU should criminalize Denial of ANY Genocides.

To overcome objections that this otherwise excellent proposal would constrain both free speech and scholarly research, I have proposed No-penalty Genocide Denial Criminalization (NGDC) in which the only punishment would be the public disgrace of judicial conviction for the crime of Genocide Denial. While the Australian taxpayer funds about $10 billion annually on “research” and “intelligence”, the Australian Parliaments, People and Courts are clearly NOT being informed about horrendous Genocide realities in which Australia is complicit by the intelligence officers, academics and other public servants in receipt of this funding. The explanations for this Genocide Ignoring (in some ways much worse than Genocide Denial or Holocaust Denial) involve public servant politicization and intimidation coupled with Media “politically correct racism”, dishonesty, intimidation and irresponsibility.

The following summary of on-going Genocides in which Australia is complicit is being provided pro bono publico in the interests of Australian MPs and Media and in the public interest.

Aboriginal Genocide – the "annual death rate" of Aboriginal Australians (Indigenous Australians) is 2.2% overall and 2.4% in the Northern Territory - as compared to 0.4% (what it should be), 0.7% (for White Australians) and 2.5% for pre-drought Australian sheep in the paddocks of Australian sheep farms. 20% of Indigenous Australians have diabetes and a leading Australian diabetologist has warned that they may disappear by the end of the century. [2]

Iraqi Genocide – the 1990-2003 excess deaths (avoidable deaths, deaths that did not have to happen) in Iraq under Sanctions totalled 1.7 million and under-5 infant deaths 1.2 million; post-invasion excess deaths in Iraq (as of February 2007) total 1.0 million and under-5 infant deaths 0.6 million – evidence of gross Coalition violation of the Geneva Conventions; and there are 3.7 million Iraqi refugees. [3]

Afghan Genocide – as of February 2007, post-invasion excess deaths in Afghanistan total 2.2 million and post-invasion under-5 infant deaths total 1.8 million – evidence of gross violation of the Geneva Conventions by the US Alliance; and there are 3.7 million Afghan refugees. [4]

Climate Genocide - Australia, the US and Canada are the BIG countries with the biggest annual per capita greenhouse gas pollution; Australia is the world's biggest coal exporter; the major parties want the coal exports to continue and have rejected Green Senator Dr Brown's demands for a 3 year phase-out; neither Bush-ite Australia nor Bush America will sign Kyoto or make serious efforts to curb greenhouse gas pollution; 90 million Bangladeshis are facing inundation by the sea by the end of the century due to the carbon pollution profligacy of the US and countries such as Australia; a major Bengali island disappeared recently – the disappearance of Lohachara, once home to 10,000 people, is unprecedented. A British organization (Bring Climate Criminals to Justice, BCCJ) has been established in an attempt to save Bengal and to promote prosecution of Climate Criminals responsible for Climate Genocide. [5]- [8]

Bush, Blair and their Coalition confrères should be arraigned for War Crimes as demanded by 2005 British Nobel Laureate Harold Pinter; the World Tribunal on Iraq headed by outstanding Indian writer and Sydney Peace Prize winner Arundhati Roy; and outstanding former Malaysian PM Dr Mahathir. Indeed Dr Mahathir suggests the punishment of public ignominy for war criminals convicted by his suggested non-government international war crimes tribunal (as I do for No-penalty Genocide Denial Criminalization, NGDC): "We should not hang Blair if the tribunal finds him guilty but he should always carry the label as a war criminal, killer of children, liar. And so should Bush and the pocket Bush of the bushlands of Australia.” [11]

While Bush and his Coalition confrères are unlikely to face the International Criminal Court (although I and others have presented detailed formal complaints to the ICC), it is quite likely that they (including complicit Australians) will face prosecution (even if in absentia) before EU or non-governmental Genocide Denial tribunals. [1], [12]

I would be very grateful if you would forward this serious message to all your associates in the public interest. I would urge you to advance Australian legislation on No-penalty Genocide Denial Criminalization (NGDC) as an urgent major priority in the interests of Australians and of Humanity. This information has been presented in the public interest.

Dr Polya's flippant abuse of the term "genocide" is out of character and most alarming;
joining George Bush and the Whitehouse effort by trivializing the term genocide which is a GRAVE inhuman crime of denial.

Iraqi, Afghanistan, and the Stolen generation are serious issues in their own rights and should not be belittled by in an apparent effort to paint Australians as wicked evil beings because of silly comments by PM John Howard.

I referred earlier to George Bush and the Whitehouse abuse of the germ "genocide" - by which I refer to his POLITICAL use of Darfur as a means to devalue the legal term genocide, and to divert good NGO and media attention away from the GENOCIDE which his own university was endorsing a report about;

The genocide which Bechtel, Freeport McMoRan and George Bush want kept hidden:
"Indonesian Human Rights Abuses in West Papua:
Application of the Law of Genocide to the History of Indonesian Control"
- a report by the Yale University Law School on the US funded Indonesian genocide of West Papua by Indonesian massacres, extrajudicial killings, torture, disappearances, police detention, violence including rape only of the Papuan women, US & Indonesian resource exploitation, forced relocation and labor, and the infamous Transmigration racial replacement scheme by the Indonesian government and settlers.

The Armenian people under the Young Turks, the Jewish people under the Nazi state, the victims of the Khmer Rouge, and the people of West Papua today share the experience of several inhuman acts;
they were selected by their 'States' to be eliminated (like insects);
they were denied escape or voice as they were moved like cattle;
the rest of the society did nothing to prevent or stop this;
the government, society, and their business partners around the world denied any crime had/or is still occuring (death in West Papua, denial of Armenian value).

There was no civil war, these people were not victims of combat; people were sent specifically to round up these civilian people ; treated as sub-human.

The crime of genocide is that a government and its society denies the value of human life of the ethnic group they did not want; denied freedom of speech, freedom of political assembly, movement, and life.

The people of the United States have not heard about West Papua because people like George Bush are profiteering from this genocide - even the US Congressmen who two years ago tried to ask questions by writting Section 1115 were silently disregarded as Mr Bush's friends at Bechtel Inc. and Freeport McMoRan and Exxon used their "US Indonesia Society" lobby to have the US Senate delete the entire Section of the bill.

In West Papua's case the genocide is part of a colonization program, a foreign military from 4000Km away, from Asia.

But the real problem is DENIAL, denial of a voice.

Genocide

I was certainly NOT trivializing the term Genocide. I have great sympathy for Andrew Johnson's concerns over the colonization of West Irian and the displacement and disempowerment of the Indeigenous People.
However having said that I must reiterate that the cases I referred to are clearly GENOCIDE as legally defined by the UN Genocide Convention: mass avoidable death (MAD) associated with an intent to destroy a country or a people in whole or in part. That empirical INTENT is revealed by the SUSTAINED EXCESS MORTALITY and threat to life in ALL cases. The smallest of these Genocides in my letter to Australian MPs was the ongoing Aboriginal Genocide - Professor Paul Zimmet of Monash University, a top Australian diabetologist, says the situation of Indigenous Australians is so dire they may actually vanish by the end of the century. Genocide indeed.

PC Racist white Australia

I normally don't respond to defamatory abuse from people with the courage of anonymity.
Most White Australians would vigorously assert that they are not racist and love their fellow man etc. Unfortunately they fall down very badly on delivery. Consult UN demographic data (read the links in the article) and you will discover that the "annual death rate" for under-5 year old infants in Australian-occupied Afghanistan is about 6.7% very close to that (10%) for Australian POWs of the Japanese in WW2 (for which crime Japanese generals were hung as war criminals).
Those who ignore, deny, excuse, minimize, obfuscate, support, advcoate or effect gross abuse including mass murder of helpless Children - or indeed of anyone - have crossed the line between decent humanity and Nazi-style barbarism.
Most White Australians of this "decent democratic country" have unwittingly crossed that line - but they simply don't want to know about it.
While ordinary Germans in 1945 said "we didn't know", White Australians (and notably their cowardly, racist politicians, journalists, academics and public servants) don't WANT to know - they simply look the other way. MWC News readers should decide - who do they take more seriously an abusive, anonymous commenter offering abuse but no quantitative or factual rebuttal or one of Australia's foremost medical scientist and diabetologist Professor Zimmet who seriously warns a racist country that "doesn't want to know" about the awaful calamity facing Australia's indigenous community due to White Australian unresponsiveness.
According to a report in the Melbourne Age (Australia's leading newspaper)(13 November, 2006), QUOTE: "The diabetes epidemic could wipe out Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population this century, a Melbourne-based expert has warned.

Professor Paul Zimmet, director of Monash University's International Diabetes Institute, says escalating rates of the disease in the world's indigenous communities will decimate whole cultures."
Indeed the vigor and virulence of the anonymous comment illustrates the Australian malaise of unwarranted pride, self-absorption and steadfast determination not to consider the consequences of Australia's irresponsible and grossly human rights-abusing policies.

Correction

No, empirical evidence shows failure to prevent a problem, it does not prove an evil intent. An example of failure were the schooling schemes both Australia and the United States inflicted on their indigenous populations in the early 20th century to "educate" and "improve" their lives; schemes which were destroying the people's languages and cultures, devaluing their lives.

But in Nazi Germany, Cambodia, and today in West Papua the State really does want to kill the people and their cultures. Indonesia wants the Papuan lands, and Corporate American wants's West Papua's vast gold & copper reserves.

But Australia & the US would happily implement any health plan if you can tell them of a magic solution. Different intention.

Genocide, intent & sustained policy

I appreciate the formal distinction between an ACTIVE process of genocide (e.g. Nazi Germany industrial extermination of jews, Gypsies and Slavs 1941-1945) and PASSIVE processes assoociated with immense loss of human life (failure of the US or Australia to provide life-sustaining requisites for their conquered Iraqi and Afghan subjects in gross violation of the Geneva and other conventions).

However leading bioethicist, Princeton University\\\'s Professor Peter Singer (quoted as the world\\\'s most influential living philosopher) makes no distinction between ACTIVE and PASSIVE killing when it comes to moral responsibility (e.g. see: Kuhse, H. & Singer, P. (1985), Should the Baby Live? The Problem of Handicapped Infants (Oxford University Press, Oxford).

The passive genocide has been going on in Occupied Iraq for 4 years (1 million excess deaths, 0.5 million under-5 infant dreaths); the denial of life-sustaining requisites under sanctions (1990-2003) was associated with 1.7 million excess deaths, and 1.2 million under-5 infant deaths (90% avoidable). This was a deliberate, sustained, manifestly INTENTIONAL policy over 15 years with these horrendous consequences - they cannot get off the hook by saying that \\\"we didn\\\'t INTEND for all these people to die\\\" or \\\"we didn\\\'t articulate mass killing as a desired end\\\" - they DID die, they are STILL dying and the reasons are clear - violent occupation and war criminal non-provision of life-sustaining requisites demanded by the Geneva Convention.

Andrew Johnson\\\'s statement \\\"But Australia & the US would happily implement any health plan if you can tell them of a magic solution. Different intention.\\\" is no doubt sincerely intended but ultimately fatuous.

Australian medical experts declare that the Aboriginal health budget needs to be doubled - it won\\\'t happen, it won\\\'t even be discussed and Aborigines will continue to die.

Similarly, the annual per capita medical expenditure permitted in the \\\"politically correct national concentration camps\\\" that are Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan by the \\\"democratic Nazi\\\" US, UK and Australia and other US Alliance countries is a mere $64 and $23, respectively as compared to about $2,500 in the UK and Australia (WHO data) - the medical imperative is obvious, the LEGAL imperative is obvious, but there is NO action and not even public discussion because of the racism and dishonesty of mainstream politicians and media whose INTENTION is clear and sustained - occupy but without provision of life-sustaining requisites i.e. passive mass murder, passive mass paedocide, passive genocide by these latter-day racist mass murderers.

In this light we can well understand the reaction of outstanding humanitarian Dr Mahathir (annual under-5 death rate in Malyasia 0.14% as in the UK versus 0.17% in the US)is understandable: \\\"We should not hang Blair if the tribunal finds him guilty but he should always carry the label as a war criminal, killer of children, liar.
