Genocide Declared 'Kosher' in Israel

I was absolutely shocked to read the words of Israel's former Chief Rabbi, Mordechai Eliyahu.. who "ruled that there was absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians during a potential massive military offensive on Gaza aimed at stopping the rocket launchings"....

No moral prohibition??? What ever happend to 'THOU SHALT NOT KILL'???

It was reported that Eliyahu made this ruling in a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert citing biblical authority. The letter was published in a weekly journal distributed in synagogues throughout Israel. The report states that "According to Jewish war ethics an entire city holds collective responsibility for the immoral behavior of individuals. In Gaza, the entire populace is responsible because they do nothing to stop the firing of Qassam rockets."

Eliyahu's son, Shmuel Eliyahu, himself chief rabbi of Safad, amplified his father's comments, stating: "If they don't stop after we kill 100, then we must kill a thousand." He added, "And if they do not stop after 1,000 then we must kill 10,000. If they still don't stop we must kill 100,000, even a million. Whatever it takes to make them stop."

'Whatever it takes to make them stop'??? Ever hear of negotiations? Ever hear of recognition of the government elected by the Palestinian people? Ever hear of ending a 40 year old occupation and the genocidal policies used during that occupation???

The report states that "According to Jewish war ethics an entire city holds collective responsibility for the immoral behavior of individuals. In Gaza, the entire populace is responsible because they do nothing to stop the firing of Qassam rockets."

It will be interesting to see Olmert's reaction to this hate filled letter and ruling. Will he dare criticize it and risk shaking up his already shaky coalition government by alienating the extreme section of the ultra orthodox, or will he act in accordance with international laws dealing with genocide?

How will other countries respond to this 'ruling'? You can be sure that if it was a Muslim religious leader that muttered those hate filled statements about Jews he would certainly be banished from traveling to the United States.

If this 'ruling' becomes practice. If the racist theocracy becomes the new government direction in this land.... show me the first shop that sells pork roasts.... that will be the menu for Shabbat dinner tonight.

It's obvious that their Bible isn't mine....

ISRAELI SETTLER CLEARED OF ATTEMPTED (KOSHER) MURDER

In accordance with the former chief rabbi of Israel's declaration that 'genocide is kosher', the following was the court's ruling involving an incident that occurred two years ago....

The court was sufficiently convinced that Citrin had in fact hurled rocks at Majaida while the latter was lying injured on the ground. The Be'er Sheva District Court ruled that "there is no doubt the defendant meant to harm the victim. The fact that the defendant looked at the victim while he was on the ground and aimed the rock at him before throwing it, combined with the force with which the rock was hurled all point to the defendant's clear intent to harm the victim."

However, the judges also wrote "we don't believe that this intent was the intent to kill." The judges mentioned that after the defendant threw the biggest rock, he "left the young man alone after throwing the rock, and did not attempt to hit him again, though he could have easily finished the unsuccessful attempt if he had wanted to."

The attempted lynching was recorded on video by a number of TV crews that were in the area. But obviously all evidence, including the videos were meaningless in a case against an Israeli and a Palestinian in an Israeli court of law. The chief rabbi can be proud of his influence on the death of justice in the courts.

The court's ruling can be read in THIS article from HaAretz.

Get real. The "genocide" has been promulgated as a formal policy in the Arab countries and in particular in Gaza and all lands occupied by Arabs. Not a day goes by but we read public statements by Al Fatah and Hamas, to the effect that all Jews should be slaughtered and Israel has no right to exist. Children are indoctrinated to kill all Jews.

Yet you focus your attention on one statement by the Chief Rabbi. While I admit his words were poorly chosen, even if unqualified, how is this worse than the daily threats, and rockets fired into Israel.

How long would you put up with it if the Mexicans were doing the same, from Tijuana, into San Diego? How about the recent rhetoric by La Raza and others to the effect that all of the US should be occupied by Mexico?

How about the civilian casualties in Iraq? Oh right, they're just "collateral damage." How about the recent slaughter of civilians for which three GI's have been charged with murder?

How about what we did in Viet Nam, slaughtering whole villages, or didn't you know that?

I'm not justifying the rhetoric, but I sure understand the feeling.

Why not deal with the facts? Do you seriously doubt that Israel could wipe out the "Palestinians" if she wanted to? Do you seriously doubt that the Arabs would destroy the Jewish people if they could?

Who pays you to write your material? I am curious.

Dear Dr. Micky Moss

Can you read? This is not about Hamas or Fatah. Is about inciting genocide from those who accuse everyone in the world who dares to criticize Israel policy anti-Semitics who wish to annihilate Israel.

Do you expect a writer to focus on every issue in the world just to say a Zionist idiot calling for genocide?

However for your limited information, MWC News has 100s editorials and commentaries on those issues in this site. And no they are not collateral damage, they are murders. The same way that killing civilians in Gaza by Israeli military is.

"Populations that support evildoers are considered collectively guilty for that support and should be punished for it."

Do i remember right or did Osama use the same logic to justify 9/11.
