Chief Justice of Pakistan Restored | Print |  E-mail
Letter to the Editor
By MWC NEWS

By accepting the COP (Constitutional Original Petition) on behalf of the non-functional Chief Justice against the President Gen Musharraf was allowed and as a consequence thereof by setting aside the ‘reference against the non-functional Chief Justice’ by majority decision of 10 to 3 the same was held as void and without lawful authority - and yes now the non-functional Chief Justice is Chief Justice of Pakistan. It is a historical contribution of the Lawyers Community of Pakistan indeed.

Aftab Alam Advocate, (High Court) Swat, Pakistan

I have only few concerns about the removal and restoration of chief justice, removal of C.J. is by a General and if it is by a Civilian goverenment then what is going to happen.Because there will be lots of wrongdoing in the civilian government. Are we the PAKISTANIS expecting the justice to be done or served so quickly to the people or worst.
