The Just and the Wicked

Washington D. C. is filled these days with wicked people, ruthless people who break the law with impunity and thumb their nose at public opinion.  Ever since Bush took office, he has been consolidating his power, and telling everybody in town- it's my way or the highway.  His evil genius Karl Rove keeps a ferocious pack of hatemongers on radio and TV, which he sets on anyone who dares oppose King George II.
 
Such is Bush's arrogance that, in the face of a rising storm of protest, he hurls his butt-covering nanny at us for the vacant Supreme Court position, and tell us: "Trust me". 
 
And the American people have allowed this evil to continue.  The prophet Malachi was confronted with a similar situation.
 
Malachi 3: 13
You have defied me in word, says the LORD,
yet you ask, “What have we spoken against you?”
 
Malachi 3: 15
Rather must we call the proud blessed;
for indeed evildoers prosper,
and even tempt God with impunity.”
 
Bush still, in his pride, asks us to consider him blessed.  This pseudo Christian mantle in which he cloaks himself is the teflon coating that people marvel at.  He HAS seemed to prosper in his life, and to tempt God with impunity, so how can he be an evildoer? 
 
We the people have been codependent with Bush's satanic claim to sainthood, have allowed his false prophets- Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Franklin Graham and their ilk- to surround him with an aura of piety which is trumpeted as holiness, rather than as the miasma of lies that it is.  In accepting the hypocrisy and lies, we speak against God.
 
Malachi prophesies that a time will come when the scales will fall from the eyes of the people.
 
Malachi 3: 18
Then you will again see the distinction
between the just and the wicked;
Between the one who serves God,
and the one who does not serve him.

And now we are seeing the tangled web of cronyism and corruption spun by Tom DeLay, Roy Blunt, Bill Frist, and all the others of the K Street project.  And now we are seeing the treasonous conspiracy against a loyal CIA agent and against the American people by a cabal coming out of the office of the president and vice president.  And now we are seeing the callous indifference of these tyrants, who are using hurricanes to accustom us to martial law.
 
Here's what the prophet Malachi says will happen next:
 
Malachi 3: 19-20
For lo, the day is coming, blazing like an oven,
when all the proud and all evildoers will be stubble,
And the day that is coming will set them on fire,
leaving them neither root nor branch,
says the LORD of hosts.
But for you who fear my name, there will arise
the sun of justice with its healing rays.
