Brief Study Of Cultural Slavery

They tend to become freer, more capable of making their own decisions rather than having to rely on someone else telling them what to do; that is, relying on slave mentality. I dare you to say this is the way it is in today's society! In today's America, no one is responsible for doing whatever it is they've done: someone, something made them do it.

More often than not God or Satan. And right there you have the greatest perpetuator of slave mentality of them all: religion. You're subject to a master, God. You are "less than." You are a pawn, a thing, in the master's master plan (that you are too stupid to understand). You don't do anything but pray (usually for a miracle). You don't do anything you're not told to do--do or think. You run in (or on) fear: if you don't do this, you will be punished! If you do this, you will be punished! (Even though many priests have proven such damning, dictates are wrong otherwise, they wouldn't have abused those little boys because that kind of behavior means eternal damnation.) You can't make up your own mind. God or the Devil must tell you what to do. If you don't believe it, if you hypocritize, you set the yoke on your fellow man and if he won't do it you will hereticize him if you can't beat him into submission.

There's always somebody less'n us'n. Look to the women!

At heart, you know you are bad. Born badly. It's part of the dogma you've been handed for many millennia. Original sin. Original sin is acting on your own, using your freedom, and not blindly doing what you're told. You ain't s'posta be showin' no 'nitiative. What th'hell you doin'?! You bad.

Shit, baby! You're original sin is believing this bull hockey! You bad. You bad to the bone. You ain't got no choice. Hell. . .you can't even save your ass, some other fucker gotsta do it for ya.

Get rid of this kind of slave mentality, a mentality that underlies the very foundation of our society, and you stand a chance for freedom. Not "no" religion; humanity has a drive to discover meaning. But not "this kind" of religion. What would happen if we followed a philosophy, a weltanschauung that believed we were basically good?

Shut your mouth, boy! whomp!!

Ever notice how the great discovers of meaning in life--truth--all left traditional society to find freedom? That freedom is thinking on one's own. (Virtually the same as acting responsibly.) They couldn't find that freedom, that self-belief under the giant thumb of the traditional belief system, slave mentality, better'n less'n.

* This racist dialect may be upsetting; it is not intended as racism. It is using racism to make a point because racism is slavery, enslaving. It is, too, regardless of color, a strong, strong thread in our society.

Slaves.
Sir,
The thing that I really cannot understand is why any one takes any notice of clerics, priest , the preacher man, and so on. These turkeys carry on as if they actually know something, the only thing they really know is that they are frauds, their greatest fear as you implied is that the rest of us may find out about their fallibility.
There is a song I know that sums up the truth so well, the lines go: 'The cage bird sings of the blue sky and the sunshine, never knowing that the door is open wide'.
Mankind is fearful of freedom indeed, especially in the countries ruled over by the Abrahamic religions, after many centuries, in fact several thousands years of being frightened of a fearful god who behaves as one would expect, having been invented by flat earth minded tribesmen. The irony being that in a world that talks of millions of light years, particle physics, genomes , and so on, cling in total fear to these primeval beliefs.
People are frightened to think for their selves, they seem to doubt the value of their judgment, often it's the simple man who is not caught up in expediency, politics, greed, and spin that can produce the most valuable thinking.
They the ruling elite would have us believe that they are special, no! They happen to be human beings just like the rest of humanity; same emotions, same method of procreation, same way of disposing of body waste, all mortal and so on. I like the poem ' A Man's a Man for A' That' , Robert Burns had it figured.
Maybe this comment reflects what you have already said, but I had to get it off my chest.
