Partial explanations for mainstream media "slies" and lies of omission and commission derive from the following: narrowing corporate media ownership; ostensibly security-related "national interest" constraints (e.g. the media self-censorship "D notices" in Britain and Australia); the unscientific absurdity of "democratic truth" (e.g. "90% of our readers believe that aliens have landed"); mainstream "positioning" (a major problem for the "balance"-obsessed British Broadcasting Corporation in a world of mainstream media dishonesty); and metastatic "intelligence" subversion of journalism e.g. see the famous article by Carl Bernstein on CIA intrusion into mainstream media [8].

Lies and "slies" led to Anglo-American military invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq with an obscenely media non-reported, post-invasion avoidable mortality (excess mortality) in Occupied Iraq and Afghanistan now totalling 1.9 million [6]. But how far do the lies and "slies" go?

According to Professor Morgan Reynolds: "If demolition destroyed three steel skyscrapers at the World Trade Center on 9/11, then the case for an 'inside job' and a government attack on America would be compelling" [1, 2]. Will Professor Reynolds precipitate a comprehensive unravelling of the "slies" and lies of the Bush Administration and its associates? Will other mainstream media report Professor Reynolds' analysis?
