Re= Testimony from a former "U.S. Army Ranger" 

On May 21, I received a report and a video of an interview from our long time associate and the excellent independent journalist Mr. Dahr Jamail.  

Since then, MWC has received many comments and letters from readers questioning the accuracy of the statements made by Mr. Jesse Macbeth and making allegations against him as an imposter.  

I followed several leads to verify the story, I also sent my e-mail address and phone number to Mr. Macbeth through one of his friends and requested clarification.  

Up to this point, I have not received any response. 

Regretfully, we are no longer able to deny the fact that numerous points of evidence against Mr. Macbeth outweigh his statement. 

It is our ethical duty to inform our readers of our mistakes. We can no longer stand by this report. 

We are not going to attempt to justify this action; it should not have happened.  

I take full responsibility as managing editor; it is my duty and job to check the facts before approving anything for publication. I have failed to do so in this case and for that I sincerely apologize to our readers, members, authors and editors. In addition, I wish to ask all those who reported this story from us to kindly post this statement in the same places. Thank-you.
