"The Apology" strikes hard at the root of many problems in Iraq and illicit's less than positive angry comments in its readers sometimes. The concept of an apology represents a powerful beginning step in reconciliation and those who blindly choose to make war and obliterate those they don't understand or like, find it offensive and abnormal from their perspective. Husbands and wives often disagree on how a matter should be resolved, but in the end they can make compromises respecting each other and continue to build a loving relationship that lasts a lifetime. Language separates cultures of the Arabic speaking nations from the English speaking western nations and is of God's doing at the tower of confusion. By His design in an imperfect world, He must have done it to help create smaller nationalistic groups of people, who would then choose to scatter across the face of the earth. He knew in His ultimate wisdom that anytime there is a movement to gather large segments of the earth's inhabitant together under one leader, that the intoxicating power it would give to its leadership corrupts and leads to abuse and atrocities. Nebuchadnezzar's night vision of the statue as interpreted by God's servant, Joseph, the man with a coat of many colors shows feet of iron mixed with clay. Some believe that the unmixable clay and iron represents the Europeon states and in the final moments of earth's prophetic history the rock of Christ breaks the pedestal on which the statue of empires stands. Those who attempt to conquer other nations by force or economic subterfuge are warned by God that monopolies that abuse power are not inspired by Him. I believe we live in the time of those feet and I tremble at the rumblings of a misguided movement seeking One World Order and hegemony. History shows that the promoted benefits of centralized control be it great or small is outweighed by the abuse of power against those who do not blindly follow the accepted path. They speak of freedom, but by the monopolies very nature, freedom becomes a prisoner to greed and desire for control.
