Hadji Girl
Introduction

ImageOf course the lyrics herein presented are over the top and deeply offensive on more levels than I would care to list. They really were written by a Marine Corporal, Joshua Belile of the Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron 167[1] and have stirred quite a controversy.

Belile's performece on videotape (and the streaming video I witnessed) included a hoard of cheering fellow Marines. Even though the size of the audience was unable to be determined from the video, it was my impression that a sizable number of Marines were amused by the song and heartily approved of the sentiments expressed. Is it safe to say that all these Marines were deranged "rotten apples"? If this is indeed the case, there must be a lot of them in Iraq.

I believe that this song well characterizes the callous attitude our troops have come to accept as standard operating procedure in dealings with the local "Hadjis" as they call the Iraqis.

There is an interesting background to the story of the rape of fourteen-year-old Abir Hamza, whose baby picture is shown below. Military spokesmen have denied that the incident of the beheaded and horribly mutilated American servicemen that the press found so "barbaric" may have actually been in retaliation for the rape/murder in question and the murder of her family. Right. These two guys were members of the same company (101 Airborne) that contained the squad that had all the "fun" At the house near Mahmudiayh. That's just another story they will never tell you on Fox (or ABC-CBS-NBC.)

What would you have done to those two soldiers if you believed they had been complicit in the rape of your daughter? Oops, I forgot we're not allowed to think these thoughts. We're liberals. Remember, our troops are "above the law" in Iraq, so it's not like the offended "Hadjis" can drag them before some magistrate or flag down an MP.

I see the picture of the raped 14 year old child [2] and the accompanying horrific lyrics as bookends of the ever-ripening brutal atrocity that has been our involvement in that poor country from day one. I hope that my exposing these shameful lyrics here will not cause people to accuse me of an unpatriotic depiction of the troops. Their own words/lyrics convict them. Forget that lone, deranged rotten-apple (PFC Steven Green) crap the press is trying to make out this case to be.

I guess some (me included) would say that our poor soldiers are as much victims as the poor Iraqis. It's just that an inordinate number of the members of the second group of victims (the Iraqis) are getting starved, raped, murdered and tortured while the other group (the "victims" with all the really neat weapons and the immunity) have become monsters. May the gods help us if this war does end soon and all these "monsters" come marching home. We will all be Semper F**ked then.

[1] There are plans to release Hadji Girl commercially stateside as a single by some Sirius Satellite Radio talk show retard (no offense to genuinely developmentally disabled people intended here.) I swear I am not kidding. This war and this country have gone way beyond my ability and inclination to even try to make stuff like this up.

[2] The corporate news services, even at this late date, even though they know the truth, still insist on calling her a "woman." I guess to tell the truth and call her a "child" would be offensive to more sensitive Republican viewers.

So all that said…

The lights dim, a lone spot illuminates a large black and white photograph of a beautiful innocent Iraqi child. Stage right a lone Marine in silhouette lifts his guitar and begins to sing…
 Abir Hamza, 1991-2006

Hadji Girl

I was out in the sands of Iraq
And we were under attack
And I, well, I didn't know where to go.
And the first think I could see was
Everybody's favorite Burger King
So I threw open the door and I hit the floor.
Then suddenly to my surprise
I looked up and I saw her eyes
And I knew it was love at first sight.
And she said

Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad
Sherpa Sherpa Bak Allah
Hadji girl I can't understand what you're saying.
And she said
Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad
Sherpa Sherpa Bak Allah
Hadji girl I love you anyway.

Then she said that she wanted me to see.
She wanted me to meet her family
But I, well, I couldn't figure out how to say no.
Cause I don't speak Arabic.
So, she took me down an old dirt trail.
And she pulled up to a side shanty
And she threw open the door and I hit the floor.
Cause her brother and her father shouted

Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad
Sherpa Sherpa Bak Allah
They pulled out their AKs so I could see
And they said
Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad
Sherpa Sherpa Bak Allah

So I grabbed her little sister and pulled her in front of me.
As the bullets began to fly
The blood sprayed from between her eyes
And then I laughed maniacally
Then I hid behind the TV
And I locked and loaded my M-16
And I blew those little f***ers to eternity.
And I said

Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad
Sherpa Sherpa Bak Allah
They should have known they were f***ing with a Marine

written and performed by U.S. Marine Corporal Joshua Belile

RE: Hadji Girl
He now says his song was just a joke and the words bore no realtion to actual events in Iraq.

Officials at the Pentagon agree the song is offensive and inappropriate, although they also add it may not amount to a disciplinary or criminal offensive.

Corporal Belile has now apologised and promised never again to sing those lyrics.

RE: Hadji Girl
and the fact that american soldiers sing them lyrics .. and treat those women and people over there like that .. :; sighs:;; and then we wonder why soldiers do the sick things that are happening right now..

a sign of the times maybe that we accept this sort of thing?

Sometimes freedom of speech means NOT saying or singing crap like this .

RE: Hadji Girl
You are right ABBE but it looks like greed rules...

A radio talk-show host is to record and release a song written by a US Marine corporal about killing members of an Iraqi family.

The author, Cpl Joshua Belile, will not sing "Hadji Girl" but he may receive royalties if The Mike Church Show charges for downloads, a spokesman for the show said.

Alan Grossman, head of the studio producing the song, said it was clearly a joke. "It's harmless. It's a spoof," he added.

RE: Hadji Girl
Actually, I find those offensive, too - but not much worse than some of the songs or ditties that have come out of other wars. It's a sad fact that soldiers find emotional release in things like this - I would think that if a person were to check out songs or poetry or other spoken or written things by all sides - US, Shi'ia, Sunni, Kurds, Israeli, Hezbollah - and any I have not named - there would be something just as offensive written about the enemy of the day - it's human nature.

Bush...
My older brother once told me "A fool and his money are soon elected"... As for the Bush family, you might want to check out the connections with the Nazis/Hitler:
http://tinylink.com/?bWwotZN7Cf
Not to mention the involvement of that family with the "Skull and Bones" society, the western Branch of the Bavarian Illuminati...
The Bush family is in good company, with their constant references to the "New World Order", as Adolph Hitler ALSO proposed this exact same thing:

Now don't get me wrong, I believe that Iraq is getting what it deserves, however this does not mean that those pushishing Iraq are any better...
As the good book says:
Ps. 34: 21 - "Evil shall slay the wicked."

"I believe that Iraq is getting what it deserves"

What a horrible thing to say. No one "deserves" that kind of shocking awesome treatment.
Wash your mouth out and aplogize at once!

Just what we deserve...
Speaking of getting what one deserves:

My cousin Wally was a dumb kid. He was probably the person mothers had in mind when admonishing their offspring, "Just because everyone else jumps off the cliff doesn't mean that you have to." Wally would be the first one to follow the first fool off the cliff. Always a sucker for a dare, one winter he got his tongue stuck to the school flagpole, twice! Sometimes he did take the initiative, especially when there was something uniquely stupid to be done. One day he decided to see what would happen if he took a stick to a hornets' nest near the apple orchard at the end of our street. Everyone told him to watch out and leave the hornets alone. Sure enough, soon Wally was seen poking at the nest. From deep within came an angry hum that grew even louder with his second prodding. Not one to be inhibited by the dictates of common sense or caution, Wally, with a great whack, brought the whole nest down. An angry stream of mad insects erupted from the crumpled nest and headed straight for Wally. Fortunately there was a pond nearby and our hero spent the rest of the afternoon ducking and bobbing under the water to avoid the angry hornets. I thought Wally got what he deserved. All I did watch with amusement while nature took its course.

Our president reminds me a lot of my cousin Wally. I think we are getting what we deserve in Iraq.

I'm just watching nature take its course.

Sickness in the marines
This is the liberty the US claim they want for the Iraqi people?

This is truly sickening.

You mean Marines aren't politically cor
... I don't think the song's all that bad. I'd be mildly surprised if something like that didn't appear under the circumstances.

Not that I'd want to see the song released, or the lyrics taken as a program for action, but...

It seems to me that the song just expresses the bitterness inevitable in operating among an often hostile and untrustworthy population. It really has nothing to do with right, wrong, or whether we should be in Iraq in the first place.

Better this than letting some of the thought police expressing their urge to censor all human expression they disapprove of have their way.

Gangster Rap
I agree with what 'Abbe' said.
It's all very well going on about this song, but maybe we all need to look closer to home. What's the difference between a marine singing about this sort of thing and an American/Briton rapping about guns, rape, drugs?
I certainly hear it every day (not through choice).
It is hypocritical to complain about this marine whilst for years we have let popular music condone pretty much the same terrors that this marine is singing about.
A sign or our times, my friends. I sign of our times.

America the bigots
Look at what gangsta rap has done to our country -Abbe.

Look at what ignorance has done to our country. How did rap figure into this? This about a sick white kid writing and singing what sounds nothing like rap or gangsta. How do racists always manage to expose themselves so eloquently? Find me one rapper that talks about how they want to rape someone. Just one, and I'll agree with you. Gangsta rap never started any unjustified wars. Gangsta rap never caused a stock market crash. Gangsta rap never invented poverty, drugs or violence. They just talk about the society that you tossed them into. Please. I mean, we all of a sudden deny the sex, violence, psychosis laden Rock n Roll of the 70s, 80s and early 90s as soon as there is a new scape goat for the way you sad souls raise your children. Somehow, someway though, you find a way to expose why your children would even write something like that.
