What Can We Do?

QANA is another appalling atrocity in 90 years of European colonial atrocities in the Middle East. This saga of racism, war, colonial occupation, colonization and ethnic cleansing commenced with the 1916 Anglo-French Sykes-Picot Agreement (dividing up Arab countries between Britain and France); progressed with the 1917 British Balfour Declaration  (making Mandated Palestine a National Home for Jews – albeit with the caveat that there should be no detriment to the Indigenous Arab inhabitants that is now conveniently forgotten it seems by everybody but the victims); solidified with the creation of the UN-sanctioned State of Israel (accompanied by genocidal expulsion of  0.7 million Palestinians, resulting today in  6 million Palestinian refugees in the Middle East alone); and explicitly racist, violent, colonial, and  genocidal Occupation of the West Bank and Gaza (together with at various times major  slabs of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria).

Now an impotent world is seeing egregious RACISM as well as continuing war crimes and genocide in the Middle East on an awful scale. Commentators are freely speculating about extension of the latest Israeli War on its neighbours (another War on Women and Children) to include Syria  (enabling Israeli-US hegemony from the Sinai to the Euphrates) and to Iran (enabling Israeli-US hegemony almost from the Nile to the Indus in an obscene mimicry of the conquests of Alexander the Great in about 330 BC).

The crimes of racist Zionism and Bush-Blair "Christian Zionism" (democratic imperialism, democratic tyranny or democratic Nazism) against Arabs and Muslims were horrendous BEFORE the latest Israeli War on Arab Women and Children. Thus the post-invasion avoidable mortality (excess mortality, avoidable deaths) in the Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories total 0.3, 0.5 and 2.0 million, respectively - 60% under-5 year old infants and variously due to Israeli, UK, US, Coalition and NATO violation of the Geneva Convention.

The latest Israeli War on Women and Children has killed about 1,000, wounded thousands, made about 1 million homeless, threatens genocide in Southern Lebanon, and has devastated infrastructure with the likelihood of over 40,000 avoidable deaths ANNUALLY if Palestine and Lebanon are bombed and shelled to a "UK-US-occupied Iraq" scenario (for a detailed analysis see MWC News ).

Westerners who support the war criminal bombing and shelling of their OWN citizens by war criminal Israeli State Terrorism are traitors and terrorist sympathizers - and should be dealt with by Shaming, the Law, Boycotts and the Ballot Box.

As an Australian I am angered that OUR neo-con and slavishly Bush-ite Government supports the continuing Israeli devastation of Lebanon and Palestine and hence the continuing bombing and shelling of our OWN citizens - and our cowardly Labor Opposition is too scared of the US Ambassador and the vitriolic Israel Lobby to say boo. Only the sensible and humane Australian Greens have demanded immediate bipartisan cessation of the violence.

Westerners who support the war criminal bombing and shelling of their OWN citizens by war criminal Israeli State Terrorism are traitors and terrorist sympathizers - and should be dealt with by Shaming, the Law, Boycotts and the Ballot Box.

Decent Westerners thus have a dual problem that is (A) international and (B) domestic.

(A). Racist Israeli war and genocide is a gross violation of humanity, a gross affront to decent humanity and constitutes a dire threat to us all – if the USIST war criminals can continue to do this then it simply means that “might is right”, anyone can do it, and International law and International Convention simply go out the window (as with the effective collapse of the League of Nations in the face of violent Nazism in the 1930s).

(B). Ultrazionists and the fanatical Pro-Israel Lobby have perverted our democratic processes, institutions, media and politicians (as dramatically demonstrated by refusal of relevant Western Governments – other than the French – to demand a cessation of the bombing and shelling of their OWN citizens by war criminal Israel State Terrorists). However this goes much further. Ultrazionist-promulgated “terror hysteria” has involved most of the Western democracies in horrendous war crimes associated with US-led “democratic imperialism”. Western civil liberties have been seriously compromised by Nazi-style anti-Terror Laws that are wisely applied to Muslim non-state terrorists or their sympathizers but NOT to the vastly more dangerous supporters and effectors of racist State Terrorism.

WHAT can we do? What MUST we do to stop racist, genocidal US-Israeli State Terrorism (USIST)?

Actually “USIST” is a very appropriate acronym. Just as “sexists” “use” women, so “USISTs” have a pathological narcissist, self-awarded licence to “use” anything and everything” they choose to, regardless. The US USISTs have a “right” to the resources of the whole world to the exclusion of the minimal claims of others. The Ultrazionist USISTs simply insist that whole world must bow to their demands – they simply IGNORE decisions of the International Court of Justice or the UN General Assembly, or the demands of the Geneva, Hague, Universal Hunan Rights, Rights of the Child and UN Genocide Conventions. Worried (or rather, slightly perturbed) by the implications of the International Criminal  Court, or the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty, they simply refuse to sign on. USISTS are narcissistic, solipsistic and “special” – regarding Americans as “God’s Own” or the Israelis as “God’s Chosen”.
