When it comes to the drug war, the verdict is in: The big, drain-the-swamp, anti-establishment president, Donald Trump, is turning out to be just like all the other mainstream establishment politicians. He made that clear last week in a speech before a group of law-enforcement officials, where he vowed to be “ruthless” in the war on drugs.

I predict wild success for the Trump administration, at least in its ability to enrich itself. Throughout the campaign it was an open question how rich Trump was. He has, after all, used the bankruptcy rules to his advantage and has failed to pay workers amounts that seem like small change for so-called billionaires. But the question will be open no longer, if all goes as it has been going, Trump will share his new riches with members of his family and administration.

Immigration Chaos and the Troops

Amidst all the furor over President Trump’s immigration edicts, there is one important thing that every American should keep in mind: There is a much easier and simpler solution to the threat of anti-American terrorism, which is the excuse that Trump is using for his immigration edicts: Just bring the troops home from the Middle East and Afghanistan and stop shooting, bombing, and firing missiles at anyone in those parts of the world, including ISIS, al-Qaeda, and everyone else. Just come home and leave everyone over there alone.

A few libertarians and other principled opponents of the warfare state assured us we likely would sleep easier with Donald Trump, rather than any neoconservative or humanitarian interventionist, in the White House.
