Iran's Interior Minister says the US presence has spurred violence and is the main cause of terrorist acts in the Middle East region.
"The US has blatantly violated international laws in the region," said Mostafa Pour- Mohammadi at a press conference in New Delhi, India, on Thursday.
When asked about the implications of the proposed US-India nuclear pact he said the agreement is an 'internal issue and we would like to see India pursuing its independent policy on the subject.'
'[Indian officials] have stressed that they do not agree with the unilateralism of America and will not be influenced by foreign countries, ' he added.
The Iranian minister, who is in New Delhi for a regional conference on natural disaster management, has also met with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
