Georgia State GOP chair: McCain 'kind of like Jesus | Print |  E-mail
By Shahram Vahdany

These people are total idiots. The Republican party deserves to go down for good with these kind of "leaders".

Columbus — Georgia Republican Party chairwoman Sue Everhart said Saturday that the party's presumed presidential nominee has a lot in common with Jesus Christ.

"John McCain is kind of like Jesus Christ on the cross," Everhart said as she began the second day of the state GOP convention. "He never denounced God, either."

Everhart was praising McCain for never denouncing the United States while he was being tortured as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

"I'm not trying to compare John McCain to Jesus Christ, I'm looking at the pain that was there," she said.

Good luck with that excuse there sister.

OMG!
Shahram... Sadly, I see this all the time in the local Party Faithful. Millions of people are brainwashed/deluded/manipulated into believing this insanity - and, that surely is what it is...

I'm sure that Hitler was compared to Jesus by his fellow National Socialists. Stalin and Mao were similarly deified by their loyal minions.

We humans have an incredible capacity for self-delusion and willing suspension of disbelief. Indeed, the bigger the fairy tale - the grander the lies - the more psychopathic is The Leader - the more easily we seem to be mis-led...

Typical Soros-funded crap!
I don't see anything wrong with what she said. Can the author of this rant calmly state an opinion?

BTW, the socialists in Nazi Germany would never have said the word "Jesus" around Hitler, much less, openly compare him to Jesus. That would've been a death sentence.

You wanna talk about bad comparisons? The worst comparison I have ever heard was: "Obama is like JFK." HOW?!

JFK was anti-communist in every public endeavor; he would never have said that any Americans were "[bitter, so they cling to guns and religion.]"

JFK was the last real democrat; a one of a kind that could never be compared to anything oozing out of corrupt Chicago politics.

Obama wants people to rely on the government and would never say anything like "Ask not what your country could do for you but what you can do for your country." Comparing Obama to JFK is completely propagandist, not to mention, inappropriate.

John McCain is an American hero, a worldly hero that can take anything you shovel at him from the safety of your Soros-funded media-smear-perch. People like you mean absolutely nothing to a man that served so valiantly and honorably in the tyrannical face of communist oppression and horror - that is the man who will win the next presidential election in the USA.

God Bless.

Jesus
Luke,
Check this out, and next time check out the validity of your statements. By the way there is plenty more.

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.

Jesus
I suppose Everhart would compare herself with Mary Magdalene, a true disciple of Christ. There\'s no way that McCain can be compared to Christ. McCain\'s pain no way touches that of Christ and I\'m sure he wouldn\'t want that comparison. Republicans seem to have this fetish about being Christ-like. We saw that with Bush and now they\'re doing it with McBush, I mean, McCain.

Sadly, McCain was just a soldier caught in the middle of frivolous politics and one of the hundred of thousands US troops victimized of the US government\'s follies. The real heroes are those that never came back home and the families that suffered the loss. Under the Geneva Conventions, McCain was spared the torture now inflicted by the USA on innocent civilians. So don\'t make a big deal about it more than it is. All this posturing just to validate the war in Iraq and Afghanistan is scurrilous. Many good people lost their lives because of a few selfish elitists. McCain would be hypocritical to use his POW status as a means to promote the War in IraQ or any other war outside the U.S. territory. Christ Almighty and not McCain Almighty! He is just a man with his beliefs and values like anyone else. If he wants to sell his soul to the devil; that\'s his choice. If you want him to be your president; that\'s your choice which you have to live with. For me, none of the frontrunners are my choice; but they are the choice of the deep government that actually run this country. You have the choice to choose one of their top choices.

Praise Jesus! And bless the fools!
Adolf Hitler was no Christian, and everybody knows it. You quoted one of his speaches long before he came to power.

He said that bullshit in order to appeal to Christians, much like how the Democrats do. Hitler was a total socialist; hence there was no room for God in his evil, black heart.

Was that all you cared to comment on? Figures.
