As MWC News Starts Its Third Year…
By Shahram Vahdany, Managing Editor

ImageIt seems like yesterday that we took an idea bundled in hope and planted it on the fertile soil of the Internet.  We intended – well, maybe dreamed – for MWC News Magazine to become more than just another online periodical, maturing into a hub of activism without national borders.  Well, I am happy to report that our accomplishments have been many and we continue making great strides to get there.

Our second year has produced, and in some respects exceeded, the bountiful harvest anticipated in both the quality of contributions that we were able to bring our readers, as well as the size in readership.  We have also tried to improve the magazine’s format, so as to make it both attractive and reader-friendly, and will continue to do so.  However, this is a work-in-progress which requires financial resources we unfortunately lack; but we will continue to pluck up courage and hard work in lieu of cash.

On this anniversary, we must reiterate our staying true to our mission.  More than a disclaimer, we adhere to the promise that MWC News Magazine will not promote the doctrines or philosophies of any organization, religion or belief system.  Our advocacy is simple: truth.  That is, our quest to provide grassroots information that can lead us to the truth, something that is in short supply from the available mainstream corporate media; thus our adopted motto of Media with Conscience, conscience emanating from truth.

As we enter the third year, and continue in our quest to reach critical milestones in our goals, there is one area where we must enlist everyone’s support, most particularly the support from those assiduous readers of our news, editorials and feature articles.  We need you to be our voice in the wilderness, helping us promote the site.  If each one of you volunteers a few minutes of your time to acknowledge our existence to your friends, and they in turn do likewise, the multiplier effect would bring us where we need to be to make this site, your site, that hub of activism that will instigate and instill change.  That would be your contribution, your donation as a member of this MWC community.

In our diversity of both opinions and goals, let’s just hope that at the very least we have a common denominator to link us all, and that’s to walk arm-in-arm, together, in true solidarity for social justice and peace, making MWC News Magazine a worthwhile labor of love.

Thank you all on behalf of the MWC Staff.  And, please, help us make this third year one of growth… a ten-fold growth in readership.
