What happened to free media after 9/11 event?

On the day 11 September 2001 , the world states have changed a lot in concern of internal and external politics and particularly in concern of mainstream trends and in how world media has guided people to be disconcerted and blinded by the huge contradictory output of different kinds of media.
The most influential media in the west, or corporate media -like Fox-has had its dire mission of guidance and this mission was carried through thousands of misleading articles and news about '' definition of terrorism'' and ''who is the current enemy'' as it focused on Sadam's regime as the biggest threat ever existed against the American interests and how his lethal WMD had the capability of destroying America in few minutes and how he has bought uranium from Niger.
Some of this western media has gone so far and touted for an alleged Iraqi link with al-Qaida and they with the US administration have paved the way to invasion of Iraq.
Media was the dangerous tool that has been used to brainwash the western commonality and average-minded citizens to get their wide support and blessing and even to get them sending their sons to this ''looked wonderful expedition'' that was touted for as the mission of 'defending the west against Muslims or the new common enemy of western civilization.
This was the way heavy media input has had its role in changing the simple fact telling that al-Qaida was not Iraq and Saddam had no role in any terror against the west.
Few independent sites like MWC and other sites of news were the only available source to get some ''normal news'' about the true premises of US stoppage into Afghanistan and Iraq , and about he true dispatch coming from the battlefield and about the collusion of the new Empire power with Zionism in the area of the middle east.
Those independent sites didn't go in easy trip however because they, with their tenacious owners and writers have resembled a threat to the powerful controlling media as the world mainstream was trying to be liberated from the influence of corporate-media and people were searching for a different kind of news, hence those sites were attacked and accused with the famous ''common accusation'' of carrying propaganda.
True news like torture in Abou-Ghraib or like downing many US helicopters by Iraqis or like attacking US troops in Afghanistan or killing civilians in Falluja by using phosphorus or news like the true role of big US companies in looting Iraqi Oil and in running private black water mercenary war , all those news were told first in independent sites like MWC -and of course - those sites were attacked and called terrorist and propaganda sites- until later on every news of the ''same true news'' started to appear ''timidly' at the first pages of western famous media like NYT and BBC.
They attacked those sites for telling the truth before the same news were proved to be true , but in the rules of n the New World Order the truth doesn't matter .
It's not important if al-Qaida is not the Iraqi resistance or if America is in Iraq to control the biggest Oil reserve in the world beside paving the way to some Zionist spies to sneak to North of Iraq and to by lands for settling there. What matters is to silence the truth until all phases of mission are accomplished.
Until then, sites like MWC will have to brace up to all kinds of attacks and tirades and slandering campaigns.

government:the ability to make a proper judgement about what is the result of actions of the govenment is blocked : and the reality is really like living in
limbo. And the reality is not far removed from an autocracy.
Imagine a so called democratic government that allows a wide space of free speaking and this government has happened to invade another sovereign country, what will happen? Simply they will quell free voices and intimidate journalists , and they may go further and shoot at media men in hot spots of news , like what happened and is happening in Iraq.
